Dental Hygiene

Your oral health is our top priority and it begins with your biannual appointment with The Central Oaks Dental Hygiene Team. At these appointments, your hygienist will meticulously clean your teeth, closely inspect your gums and mouth, gather necessary medical history, and complete any required imaging- ensuring a solid foundation for your oral health.

Emergency Dentistry

With great knowledge and care for oral health comes the understanding that urgent and immediate dental care is required for patient comfort and well-being. Therefore, we strive to make Central Oaks Dental an accessible resource for current and prospective patients at all times. This includes accepting "walk-ins" and emergency patients as well as close monitoring of our emergency answering service. If you are in need of dental care today, don't hesitate to give us a call!

Restorative Dentistry

We take great care to ensure complete treatment is provided for any existing dental caries and that proper maintenance is provided for previous dental fillings. We consider complete care to be placing fillings in "new" or active caries as well as replacing any damaged fillings from previous dental caries- in turn restoring the function and overall health of your teeth.

Dental crowns may also be required to restore the overall function and health of your teeth. A crown is a carefully constructed, tooth-shaped "cap" which is cemented over your natural tooth structure.

Implants & Dentures

Dental Implants are metal posts that are placed into the bone upon which an artificial tooth, bridge, or denture can be affixed. Implants provide permanent, stable support for artificial teeth allowing for improved dental function and aesthetics.

Dentures are removable appliances that replace one or more missing teeth. Dentures improve your ability to chew while enhancing the aesthetic appearance of your smile.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry is meant to beautify the teeth to present a gorgeous smile to the world.  Cosmetic teeth whitening, cosmetic veneers, cosmetic dental implants, crowns and additional cosmetic additions to the teeth present a lovely smile to the world.  In particular, our cosmetic teeth whitening procedure, also referred to as teeth bleaching, is especially popular.  If you dislike the look of the front teeth visible when smiling, a thin shell referred to as a veneer can be added to conceal the unsightly aspects and boost your confidence all the more.

Our cosmetic dentistry services extend to cosmetic orthodontic treatments, cosmetic tooth bonding and cosmetic teeth shaping, sometimes referred to as enamel shaping.  The unique cosmetic dentistry procedure optimal for your teeth will be determined by our dentist as well as the idiosyncrasies of your smile.  Reach out to us today to schedule your cosmetic dentistry appointment.

Conscious Sedation

If you are uneasy when thinking about your next dental appointment or if you experienced discomfort during a previous dental procedure that makes you hesitant to return, don’t worry.  Our conscious sedation dentistry is available for patients who feel nervous, fearful or uneasy when at the dentist’s office.  Conscious sedation spurs brief amnesia in which the patient does not feel pain yet remains conscious.  In plain terms, there is absolutely no reason to fear potential pain while in the dental chair after conscious sedation is applied.

Whether you are an adult in the prime of your life, a teen, senior citizen or in another age bracket, you will find conscious sedation makes your next visit to our office surprisingly stress-free.  You will be only slightly awake during the procedure, yet you won’t feel pain after sedation.  You will likely experience forgetfulness after sedation in which you become insensitive to pain.  However, you will not completely lose consciousness during the procedure.

If you suffer from tooth sensitivity, claustrophobia when being treated in the dental chair, dread needles or are inclined to gag more easily than others, you owe it to yourself to consider the merits of conscious sedation.   Even those who have flashbacks to one negative experience at the dentist’s office are encouraged to consider conscious sedation.  Give us a call today to find out more about conscious sedation and schedule an appointment at our office.
